Fight Fascism Tournament (FFT) will be held in Thessaloniki on the 1st and 2nd of June 2019 at WE sports&culture facility. The event will include political discussion and a seminar from several martial arts and combat sports friendly matches.

Fight Fascism Tournament (FFT) will be held in Thessaloniki on the 1st and 2nd of June 2019 at WE sports&culture facility. The event will include political discussion and a seminar from several martial arts and combat sports friendly matches.
FFT will be a non-conventional self-organized event giving the chance on each person regardless of age gender ethnicity or sexuality to take part and be part of the tournament and all its events. We also welcome all the athletes wanting to participate on a sport event which stand against the distorted standarts of professional sports and against the rise of fascism trying to rise in our sports.
FFT goal is to continue the tradition of antifascists tournaments in Europe, as well as in our city in this period of time when antifascist action is needed in all our aspects of our everyday life.

- Discussion and party: Micropolis social space
- Games and seminar: WE sports&culture facility, 3is Septemvriou Avenue (Leoforos) & Lampraki Grigoriou 54636, Thessaloniki
Organizer: The tournament is organized by the open, self-organized assembly of FFT along with Micropolis kick-boxing team and the APALEFTOS F.C. the first authorised self organized Fighting Club of Thessaloniki.
Participation: Participation is open to all who respect the contents and motives of the tournament. It is required to practise the sport at least 1 year.
Different martial arts and competitive fighting sports: The tournament hosts all martial arts styles that there is interest in participation. The most popular until now are the following: boxing, kick-boxing, k1, muay thai, brazilian jiu jitsu, grappling, mma.
Match making: Couples will be chosen based on weight and fighting experience of athletes. As such, we request all athletes to respect the final date for the submission of registration forms as well as the accuracy of the information that they will submit.
Final date for the submission of registration forms: Entries should be provided by Saturday, 25 May 2019. The entry/registration form will be posted on the web page of the event.
Weighing: The weighing will take place on Sunday, 2 June 2019 at 10:30 inside WE sports&culture facility sports arena. The weighing along with a general medical examination will be performed in order to verify the information provided by the athletes.
Duration of the matches:
boxing, kick boxing, k1 & muay thai: 3 rounds x 2 min
mma: 2 rounds x 4 min
brazilian jiu jitsu, grappling
1 round x 5 min
* Changes can be made with the agreement of both the athletes and the event.
Categories kg: -42 | -45 | -48 | -51 | -54 | -57 | -60 | -63.5 | -67 | -71 | -75 | -81 | -86 | -91 | -101 | 101+
* Violation (Catchweight) of the categories will be made only by the organization committee with the consent of the athletes. Basic criterion will always be the participation of all the athletes and the avoidance of exclusion based on specific norms.
Result: The bouts will be friendly and without a winner. Winner for us is the one who gets into the ring. In MMA, Brazilian jiu jitsu & grappling matches after submission (tap) the two athletes will continue the bout without stopping (so there is no real reason on persistently holding or defending chokes/locks past a certain point). A knock down does not necessarily interrupt the fight if there is not a medical reason. After 3 knock downs throughout the game, the match will be interrupted on medical safety and care of athletes. The doctor and the referee of the match is right at its discretion to suspend a game if they violated the rules of the organization or whether it is necessary for the safety of athletes.
Equipment: Athletes must bring the following personal equipment:
Gloves
Mouth guards
Hand wraps
Shin guards
Groin protectors
Knee guards (k1)
Elbow guards (muay thai)
Athletes must comply with the regulations in respect of the equipment for their safety.

Athlete’s corner: The corner of the athlete will be allowed to be consisted of his coach and an assistant coach (maximum of 2 people).
